EducationUSA Mongolia
Official U.S. Department of State advising for Mongolian students applying to accredited U.S. universities — implemented in Mongolia through MASA since 2019.
Est. Ulaanbaatar, 2007
MASA is the association of Mongolian alumni of U.S. Department of State exchange programs and Mongolian graduates of U.S. universities — putting that experience to work at home.
About
In September 2007, a circle of Fulbright and Humphrey alumni in Ulaanbaatar decided that coming home should be the beginning of something.
MASA is a registered public-benefit NGO uniting Mongolian alumni of U.S. Department of State–funded exchange programs and Mongolian graduates of U.S. universities.
Nineteen years on, the network reaches more than a thousand members — in government, business, medicine, media, education and civil society. Some run programs for us; some advise students on their own applications; some simply turn up.
The founding belief was plain enough: an experience is twice as valuable when it is shared, and more valuable still when it is put to work for the community.
To contribute to the relationship between Mongolia and the United States, and to champion the work of Mongolian U.S. Government alumni for societal and community development.
To promote democratic social development and equal opportunity across all spectrums of Mongolian society.
